Nayantara hit by heat wave!

Nayanthara, Kollywood’s ‘numero-uno’ actress was taken to Kamineni hospital in Hyderabad after she suffered from low BP and heat wave condition.The actress who was shooting for Kuselan at Ramoji Film city had to pack off early on Monday evening as she was feeling weak and tired. Later she was taken to the hospital today morning.Sources close to Nayan say: “Doctor says that she was hit by heat wave conditions in Hyderabad and low BP and has to take complete rest for two days”. She was given drips at the hospital and send back.It was continuous round the clock work and stress that resulted in the actor getting drained out. Nayan is doing three films simultaneously at the moment, Kuselan, Aegan and Sathyam. And all the three directors were shooting in Hyderabad and Vizakhapatanam, where the temperature has shot up in the last few days. They were all canning outdoor song sequences.More than a year back during the shoot of E, Nayan had fainted on the sets of the film due to low BP and working under stifling hotconditions.Meanwhile it is almost certain that she will not be coming for tomorrow’s (April 23) big IPL Chennai Super King’s opening match in their hometown. Nayan is one of the brand ambassadors of the Chennai team along with Vijay.

Dhanush says "Yaradi nee mohini"

Yaradi nee mohini is the next new film of Dhanush after the super hit “Polladavan” and it’s an important film for Nayantara as well, her performance and glamour role in Billa is the talk of the town. Simbu confesses that he released the photos

The Simbu - Nayantara break up has had unethical reprecussions. Upset with Simbu, Nayantara had attempted suicide twice, but was fortunately saved. It is well known that Simbu can get very vulgar and unethical. It is something that has been noticed of Simbu ever since he began his career in acting. As a matter of fact, it goes back to his teenage years. Nayantara return to Kollywood on Rajini's advice

Tamil viewers will be lucky to see Nayanthara in Tamil film again. The 'most controversial heroine of the year' will come back to the Prasad Studio sets for the first time since the Simbu- Nayantara issue began. The one time sweet heart of Simbu has signed a new film in Tamil with Dhanush, better known as Simbu's arch rival in Kollywood. The film's name is Yaaradi Nee Mohini - the Tamil version of Selvaraaghavan's Telugu film Adavare Mataluku Arthalae Verulae. Srikanth and Prasanna will also play in the important roles. The story and screenplay has penned by Selvaraghavan and his assistant director Jawahar will make his debut as a director. The shooting of the film commenced in Prasad Studios today amidst tight police security after Nayantara specifically asked for police protection.A few days before Simbu tried to meet Nayantara and created a situation an a hotel where she stayed. Nayantara expects the same to happen at any point during the shooting of the movie. She told Dhanush this. Sources reveal that the Superstar Rajnikanth had also given some instructions regarding the security of Nayantaara. He was one of the people who convinced her to break up with Simbu. This annoyed Simbu and forced him to attack the Superstar indirectly in his films and songs. After 'Vallavan' with Simbu, Nayan had many bitter experiences with him and she announced her break-up with him.The first schedule of the movie would be shot on the sets of Prasad and AVM studios. After few days, the entire team will be take off to Dubai for the second schedule. Thiruvannamalai to kick start!

Director Perarasu has a penchant to name his movies after popular towns in Tamilnadu. He started with ‘Thirupachi’ and followed it up with ‘Sivakasi’, ‘Thirupathy’, ‘Dharmapuri’ and ‘Pazhani’.

And now, Perarasu will join hands with Arjun for his next directorial venture titled ‘Thiruvannamalai’.

According to Perarasu, ‘it would be a commercial entertainer. Plans are on to commence shooting from 10 June. Search is on for the heroine’. Srikanth Deva will score music for the film.

Perarasu has also agreed to direct a movie for Sakthi Chidambaram’s Cinema Paradiso.

Although Arjun’s recent movie Marudamalai with Nila in the lead acquired moderate success at the box office, the actor has been keeping plans of his next project wraps. Thiruvannamalai will bring Perarasu and Arjun together for the first time. An announcement from the director’s camp said the movie will be officially kick started on June 10th.

Silambarasan’s 20 crore project!

Silambarasan's Kettavan has been in the news – good or bad - right from the day it commenced. It is worth mentioning here that during the film's inaugural function the entire city was adorned with a variety to posters evoking curious glances from the onlookers. But this film turned a damp squib with a rift between its producers Baradhan Films and Silambarasan. Also the actor turned busy with projects like Kaalai and Silambattan requiring his attention. Later on, industry sources revealed that Simbu Cine Arts purchased this project from Baradhan Films. The uncertainty over this project ends now, as reports come in that Radaan TV and UTV have procured the rights to produce this film at a budget of about Rs. 20 crores! An additional treat to Silambarasan's fans is that he will also direct this film!

Dasavatharam 1000 Prints!

As Dasavatharam rolls in, Oscar Films is getting a 1,000 prints ready for the first run. As the demand increase from theatres, they will make more prints. It is set to premier in three cities. In Chennai it will be in Tamil, Hyderabad, Telugu and Mumbai, Hindi. Oscar Ravichandran has said that he will arrange a special screening for Jackie Chan in Honk Kong if the star wishes it. News about Kamal’s magnum opus has been slowly trickling in. What we now know is that the climax of the film will be the Tsumani featured in the trailer, and it last close to thirty minutes. The censorship meetings that took place recently, we have now learnt, happened right in Kamal’s office, where he has a sophisticated screening room. Apparently if all the members of the Censor board agree to view it on premises other than their own screening room, it has official sanction.

Vijayakanth's New Flim Arasangam!

Congrats Captain Vijayakanth for coming up with a good show in his milestone movie. ‘Arasangam’, the 150th film of Vijayakanth, directed by Madhesh is a whiff of fresh air in Tamil cinema which is full of with commercial pot-boilers. Vijayakanth in the company of Madesh has come out with a thriller which is sure to delight not only his fans but also audience of all sections.

Quite unlike other Vijayakanth movies, ‘Arasangam’ has no punch line dialogues from Vijayakanth, no big song heaping laurels on the hero or clichéd comedy sequences. Madesh has struck to the basics of making an engrossing thriller and succeeds in his attempt.

Though Vijayakanth has donned Khakhi in several films before, in ‘Arasangam’ he plays an instructor in a police training college where in he is brawny as well as brainy. He lends solidity to his role and underplays. He deserves a pat for not tempting to overdo his role.

He unfolds the mystery behind the missing of his colleague cum brother-in-law Manoj (Biju Menon). The screen presence of Vijayakanth as a police officer is set to leave you spellbound.

Navneet Kaur, who plays the wife of Vijayakanth, has no big role to perform, while Sheryl Brindo lends a helping hand to the film. However, the real show- stealer is Biju Menon, who springs a surprise in two different roles.

In a nutshell, the movie is about Arivarasu (Vijayakanth), who leaves for Canada to solve the mystery and he is shocked to find a master plan by an international terrorist gang to kill all the intellectuals in India as part of their plot to check the country's growth.

How he saves the country with the help of Canadian police officer Lara (Sheryl Brindo) forms the crux of the film.

A pet theme of Vijayakanth and hence he enjoys every part of the film. He is at his ease all through the scene. Especially in the stunt sequences, Captain walks away with applause.

Srikanth Deva's brisk background score adds pep to the film.

Super Star Rajnikanth's New Film Robot!

The superstar is almost done with his part in Kuselan and is all set to sail towards his next magnum opus Robot. Expectations are skyrocketing as Rajinikanth, for the first time, will be starring opposite Ashwarya Rai. Made on a mega budget, Robot is a joint venture by Ayngaran International and Eros International.

According to industry sources, director Shankar and Rajini will fly down to the US to finalize the make-up for the latter. While Rajini's make-up in Sivaji came in for some rave reviews, Shankar wants Robot to be even better. It is said that Robot will feature a younger Rajini sporting a different hairstyle. Also, the Robot team intends to bring in professionals from Hollywood to work on Rajini's make-up.

Kamal Haasan pens the story, screenplay and dialogue apart from sporting 10 different looks in his new film, ‘Dasavatharam’. Playing the female lead is Asin, with Jayapradha and Mallika Sherawat in crucial roles. The cast also includes Napoleon, Santhana Bharathi and M S Bhasker. The film introduces to the Tamil arena Himesh Reshammiya, the popular music director of Hindi films. The film is directed by K S Ravikumar.

The story, not much of which is revealed out, seems like a travel back in time. One of the roles has Kamal playing Rangaraj Nambi, the episode set in the 12th century. Sharing frames with him here is Napoleon as Kulothunga Chozhan. The Chidambaram temple, horses, elephants, and the set all added to the ambiance. The scene depicted Nambi’s distress when Chozhan throws the idol of the Lord into the sea.

Yet another role has Kamal playing a scientist, the episode set a few centuries back, in America. A set of a laboratory was designed by art director Prabhakar, where the scientist does his research. The episode includes the lab being destroyed in an accident, paving way for the next adventure.

A sizzling dance number was picturised on Mallika Sherawat at different locations and night spots in Malaysia. Accompanying Mallika were 20 dancers from the US, and choreographing the number was Brinda.
